REUNION 2010
This year’s
reunion will be held at the Red Lion Hotel, Olympia, WA. This is located
immediately adjacent to I-5 in Olympia, WA, about 45 minutes south of SEATAC
International Airport. It is about 15 minutes south of Ft Lewis, WA (now
called Joint Base Lewis-McChord) You are responsible for making you own
reservations with The Red Lion by calling 1-800-325-4000 and telling them
you are with the 14th
Combat Engineers. It is important to identify yourself, because we have
guaranteed a certain number of rooms, and accounting for those rooms is tied
up in a whole lot of other features they provide free to us if we meet those
minimums. You also must send the Registration Form shown below to Bernie
Stalmann (our Treasurer) to let us know who to expect. Remember, also, that
you must be paid up (2010) on your dues or agree to pay your dues upon
arrival.
Thursday
is generally considered arrival day (you can come earlier if you want), and
there is a Hospitality Room at the hotel where you will have a chance to
meet and greet old and new (long lost) friends of the 14th
Combat Engineers.
Friday
will be our day with the active duty battalion stationed at Joint Base
Lewis-Mc Chord. We are still working on the details, but you can bet it will
be a day to remember.
Saturday
is our day, and we will have our business meeting, election of officers and
group pictures before noon and a “Meet and Greet” during the afternoon. In
the evening we will have our Buffet Banquet and Auction and Raffle of
donated items to raise money to assist the Battalion. Following the
auction/raffle we will have a DJ to provide music for our entertainment and
dancing until 2300 hours.
Sunday
is a day for farewells and travel home.
Part of
attending the reunion is attending the banquet. The room rates this year are
$89 (single/double occupancy) plus taxes. We kept the banquet fee at $55 per
person as we intend to cover some of the cost of a joint function with the
troops of the battalion on Friday afternoon from this fee. Souvenirs and a
DJ are included in this cost.

Information:
The event convention rate for the reunion is $45.00 Round
Trip per person or $31.00 one- way. We also have a special
reduced group rate for when (2) two persons book their reservations together
and they are traveling together, which is at the rate of $50.00 for 2
persons each direction. We also have a fuel surcharge in place and at
this time it is $1.00 per person each direction.
We encourage everyone to book their reservations at least
two (2) weeks or more in advance or as soon as possible.
Round-trip reservations booked at the convention rate ARE
NOT REFUNDABLE.
Payment type: We recommend that Credit Cards be used
to reserve your transportation.
Round-trip Reservations – we recommend that each person
make a round- trip reservation so that we can provide the proper size and
proper number of vehicles for your group. If your participants just
show-up with-out a reservation they may not have a seat available- PLEASE
MAKE RESERVATIONS.

Those participants who wish to call in via
telephone would state that they are making reservations to attend the CEBA
Event and state the letter CEBA so that your reservations are combined with
all others for your event. Upon a person making a reservation they
should each receive a confirmations email from our office.
Capital Aeroporter Counter: We have an AIRPORTER
COUNTER that is directly inside DOOR “OO” Please stay inside the
terminal building and walk to the far South End of the terminal (the newest
area of the Airport) and stay inside the building. (THE SOUTH
END IS BEYOND THE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT BAGGAGE AREA).
