7/13/2007 Rugged Veteran passes. On 13
July 2007, the Rugged Association received word on the passing of
Jack E. Lambert, Lt. Colonel, Retired, who passed away July 11, 2007
in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Jack
was Company Commander, Company B, in Korea 1951-52. Roger
Thompson and Paul Pearce were with him at that time as well as a few
others he spoke with at the 2001 Reunion. Jack and his wife,
Emily, attended the reunions 2001-2002-2003. After that, his
health declined so that he was not able to travel great distances.
There will be local services in Fairbanks on July 17, 2007. In
addition, Jack will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery,
Arlington, VA on August 24, 2007 at 3pm with Full Military Honors.
Jack was a veteran of World War 2, Korea, and Viet Nam, retiring in
1967 with 25 years honorable service to this great country.
